Interdimentional Portals
In these pieces the artist depicts a critical language about the irrationality of our times.
Taking the subconscious as a source of inspiration and with influences from her own universe, she creates scenes about reality and imagination, breaking through a metaphysical portal with countless symbols.
Flavia dares to travel through a time-space dimension, leaning in her spirituality and energy to connect different universes.
Working between two waters, between geometric structures and expressionism, she characterizes the combination of strong and spontaneous gestures, drips and splashes that embrace randomness. Using intense and fluorescent colors she develops a sensual visual language that is ferocious at the same time, which she calls the shape of the soul.
-¨This collection is the result of the experimentation between order and chaos in its pictorial form, where the intention is to create a dialogue between two opposed artistic movements, but that share the same root. Two faces of the same coin, where the perfection and rigidity clashes with the untamed irreverence of the expressionist gesture."
IRIDESCENTE SOUL
Is a series of paintings that evokes the dreams and sweet memories of my childhood.
Each piece captures a microcosm of emotions and mental states, dedicated to the memory of my grandmother Ida.
This project represents my most experimental and personal work, a sincere expression of my essence in its purest form.
In this series, I venture into the use of glitter, a magical element that has accompanied me throughout my life. Its kinetic quality fascinates me: studying the prism and how it changes color and texture depending on the angle from which it is viewed symbolizes, for me, the dynamic nature of life, constantly in flux.
OPEN SKY
My work focuses on exploring the emotions that arise when the familiar is decontextualized, especially through the use of color. This series of paintings presents chromatic scenes that emerge from the vibrant and multicultural essence of Barcelona's streets, capturing the colors that reflect the city's spirit.
I focus on bringing to life the dialogue created in open spaces, where the sky peeks through urban structures. These invisible, undefined voids, where anything is possible, are where the real and the unreal converge. It is in these everyday, peripheral places, often overlooked, where I find my fascination.
If we know how to observe, ‘everything can become an open-air museum.
